Monday- 08/15/11- Week 0 Prep Work

Starting the Classic Lift Position/Technique Cycle from Greg Everett next week.  Doing some prep work for it this week along with some short metcons.  Prep work will be done with very light weight to get experience with the new exercises with emphasis on perfect form.  Big focus will be on mobility and core strengthening in addition to the Oly work.

Note: Exercises are followed by the prescribed loading, reps, and sets in that order. For example,- 75% x 2 x 5 would indicate 75% of the athlete's 1RM for 2 reps for 5 sets.  If a loading prescription is absent, the sets and reps will be in the reverse order.  For example, Box jumps- 4 x 5 would indicate 4 sets of 5 reps.

Week 0
-Power Snatch + OHS + Snatch- 2 sets;  2sec pause in bottom
-Push press + Jerk behind neck + Jerk- 2 sets; 5 sec hold in split
- Jerk dip squat- 2x3
- Jump squat - 25% (of back squat) x 2x3
   - used 95# for all sets, felt really good, cant wait to start the actual cycle next week!
